See Eye Candy
In People's Homes...
About Me
- Name: OMH
- Location: New York/Mexico City
In 2006 I began making one small work on paper a day, which I would post on a wall in my apartment. As the group started to grow, I read about the obvious idea of an art blog: the perfect way to share the daily routine. So I created Eye Candy Daily, where I post a new picture every day (more or less). In Eye Candy Daily, blog visitors have become my creative partners. Because the pictures work better in groups and because they are for sale, potential buyers have begun assembling their own visual stories. They pick and choose the images they like and play with different ways to arrange them: from diptychs to groups of twenty; from linear and grid-like configurations to arrangements that follow no particular pattern. I enjoy seeing how other people come up with groupings I would have never envisioned and how they help me think of my work in unexpected ways. To assemble your own group of Eye Candy, just click to enlarge the pictures that attract you and print them out. Email me for more info.

Hi Olga, WOnderful idea and wonderful work! Tanya
Thanks, Tanya, although I have to say I stole the idea from artists like Duane Kaiser (http://duanekeiser.blogspot.com/) and Jeff Hayes (http://dailypaintings.wordpress.com/) who have been doing this for a while. I'll be curious to see how it works for me as time goes by since my work is so different from theirs. So far, I'm enjoying the casual, chronological aspects of the format; the blog seems to turn the pictures into moments of a vertical visual story.
Olga,
These beehive ones are quite otherworldly to me, even a bit spooky. Very sci-fi!
Chris
